Navigation areas, following Guadeloupe national park directives

Located in the north of Guadeloupe between “Basse Terre” and “Grande Terre” the “Grand cul-de-sac marin” is composed of littoral territories which are preserved and representatives of the West-Indies.

The mangrove swamp is a forest on the water who is only composed of mangroves (a tree). It’s cover 8000 hectares, specifically around the “Grand cul­-de-sac marin” and the “Rivière Salée”.

The fauna is diverse. There are a lot of birds, shellfishes, shells, mollusks and fishes. A lot of fishes come there to reproduce then go into the lagoon and go through the corals barrier when they are adult.
